Wonderful house. Kept as near as possible to the way it was. Great staff,very knowledgeable. Lovely place
It's of historical value but it's just not as captivating as most of the other national trust places I've been to. Still worth the visit as the staff there are very knowledgeable.
This is a delightful National Trust property situated in the centre of Salisbury (within the walls). Not only are the rooms interesting but there is a large and well kept garden with a small but perfectly formed tea room at the end of it. Whilst I visited on a grey day in Autumn, I can imagine how good this place would look in the summer.
If you are a national trust member you can enjoy the house and the garden with your membership.
If your not a member it's very cheap£ to see the garden. And a bit more££ to see the house.
Lovely exterior and interiors, with a gracious and friendly staff to boot. A NT property so covered under my membership. The interior plasterwork is exquisite and I liked reading about the sad love story of Jinny and Willie on placards upstairs. The garden is also lovely. There are guides in each room to shed more light on the occupants. Spent about 30-45 minutes inside.
