I learned to swim here 30 ish years ago and now we are teaching our kids. A small but friendly place.
Very dissapointed, went for a swim with my 2 young sons, one does splash lessons in another local pool and as he does lessons should get free swimming, but as he does splash lessons not wave lessons and they don't get put on a system they will not give him free swimming. Also they told us they don't open until 11 everyday, could not believe this what about early swimmers?
Then the changing rooms, they are tiny, open plan, we had pushchair but with the 4 of us this takes up most the room, another family of 1 adult and 3 kids came both of us having babies and it was a squeeze.
There is currently a serious problem with their booking system, double bookings are a regular feature. Diary entries are completely chaotic. It's just not working.
Really lovely, friendly, school-based leisure centre in Ysgol Calon Cymru. (Heart of Wales school). I enjoyed a swim at 7.15 pm on a Friday evening and it was quiet. The water temperature was comfortably warm and the showers recently updated. However the changing rooms (separate male / female) are fairly small, and open plan, so it might be cosy when it gets busy. Staff are very friendly, and £3.50 for an adult swim (March 2019) was good value. Plentiful parking, but an easy 10-15 minute walk from the Centre of town, South side of the railway station, but not well sign posted.
What? No Gym? Yes that's correct, a sports centre without a gym.
Then there is the condition of the place: don't know how long it's been there, but it certainly needs updating.
On the plus side, the receptionist was helpful and, as it happens, apologetic for conditions found there.
