We stayed in mid Wales for a holiday. This pub restaurant was a 25 min drive away, but it was well worth it!!! Very highly recommended. Service was impeccable, we had the sweetest waiter! The place is very clean and tastefully decorated, the toilets have emergency supplies for ladies and there was lovely music playing. We had squid and popcorn chicken for starters, both cooked very well. The squid was soft, not at all chewy, as it tends to be most times. It was perfect. For mains we were awed by the foot high smoke house double burger, which is actually a double double, the patties are so big! The salmon steak was also delicious. The only complaint we had was that everything was showered with lots of black pepper. Between us we don't like it/can't have it for medical reasons. So if you're in the same boat, mention it when ordering.

Enjoyed an excellent meal this evening, as per usual!! The Creamy Garlic Mushrooms are my fave appetizer followed by Simon’s famous “Mom’s Recipe” beautifully battered Cod and the best Chips in Wales!! No room for dessert...have to watch my boyish figure or else no-one else will !!! (At 67yrs a bit late for that...but One can always reminisce 😢) As always, many thanks Simon, Alison and Jake for your gracious and warm hospitality! Cheers, Andrew Glover.

Our 1st visit to The Prince today and it will definitely not be the last. Everything from service to food were fantastic. Social distancing is adhered to at a very good standard. The service were friendly and welcoming but more importantly the food don't only look good but it tastes really good too. It were empty plates all round.

Advance booking recommended but they do squeeze short notice booking in if possible.Despite the current climate and the weather the Prince Llewelyn excelled at what they do best. Warm friendly service in a safe environment with excellent food that tastes as good as it looks. Limited menu at present which is too be expected but all taste bud requirements and dietary needs are met with the selection available. Recommend that if in the area looking for a good meal then give them a call to make a booking
