Regret to say we were not overly impressed with our experience this morning. The staff, including the chef were polite and friendly but he kept saying how busy he was - even though he only had about 12 customers. The food was slopped onto the plate in a rush and brown sauce thrown on top of that - not very professional. I also noticed two customers wait at the food counter for well over 5 minutes before the chef came out of the kitchen.
On the plus side it was a good breakfast, good value for money and I will be back.
Disorganized. poor food. You have to feel sorry for the young waitresses doing their best to cope with a bad situation
Not the greatest experience. The server was slow but clearly overwhelmed with his area. The carvery itself was good and the guy working the hot plate were doing a great job. The kids meal however (nuggets and beans) had to be sent back as it wasn't fresh, the nuggets were rubbery and the beans had clearly been sat under a heat lamp and had dried out on top. Took a long time to get drinks refilled or to actually pay for the meal at the end
The 50% discount at Toby would have been awesome, but the reality was so disappointing.Would have preferred to be served smaller portions as mounds of veggies slapped one on top of the other, was horrendous.Also the carpets were strewn with food bits as waiters had little time to tidy seating area between bookings
Had a meal with you yesterday.. young lad serving very polite as they all were. Food hot and all very fresh. Chef served the food..plenty choice.of veg..nicely cooked and fresh. Well impressed after a bad visit to the Ewell carvery a couple.of years ago. Hand sanitiser at door.. wish everyone would use it though as they enter..all in all a lovely visit. Enjoyed my Honeycomb sundae too 😁
