A lovely Victorian fountain set in the Town Hall Square. However, it is looking shabby and could do with a proper clean, not just removing litter from it.
Definitely my favourite place in the city centre. I usually go there in the night and enjoy the soothing sound of the water dropping from the fountain. If you are a tourist, you definitely need to check the Town Hall Square. It's true that it's located right in the middle of the city, but it's a peaceful haven for me when I feel burdened or sad. The changing colours of Town Hall tower are just amazing to watch, the pigeons that come to drink from the fountain, the little garden in there ... it's just beautiful. It's the place that will always remimd me of Leicester if I leave it one day.
Also, you can grab a bite from nearby restaurants and sit in the chairs there and just enjoy the view. I usually buy shawarma wraps from the Shawarma place which is right behind the Town Hall and sit in the Square to enjoy my food. I definitely recommend this place for visitors 🖤🖤🖤
Lovely place to sit and enjoy a subway or a Maccies. There's lots of seating around the fountain and it's great at Christmas too! Although sometimes the fountain is turned off 😕 Probably because some crazy dude keeps putting shampoo in it! 😂
If you enjoy sitting, drinking or eating by a fountain in Leicester with a side of MANY pigeons mating uncontrollably... Then this is the place for you!
Beautiful resting place, has enough seating and has cool pigeons for company
We went to see the Christmas decorations, which were great.
