It was new years day when last there. Lovely gardens and well set out. Beautiful place in the summer. Unfortunately, there was a group of Eastern Europeans, drinking and not social distancing in one of the seating area's. I'm sure i could smell roast swan, that these theiving peasants live on, being devoured.

Well kept little area and surprisingly quiet,only a 15 min walk from town centre and good place to view river birds(many swans are close by) while on one of the bench seats,it's a nice place to walk through and across the little bridge toward Bede park area,flower beds are normally very colourful.

Really small beautiful serene park only a few minutes from the centre of the city. Lovely place to take a break and to have a walk along the canal. Not much cover from rain or much to do apart from to sit and relax however. Only taking a point down as for busy during my visit and also some litter which detracted. Overall this place is great and worth a visit.
