The food here is run-of-the-mill fare that most people could easily make for themselves at home. It might be suitable for an archaic all-day caff, but not a so-called ‘5 star’ restaurant, which is the rating it enjoys on Trip Advisor (proof, if proof were ever needed, that Trip Advisor ratings are not to be trusted). Thankfully, prices are relatively low, which no doubt contributes to the high rating. The overriding impression of well-meaning yet amateur inferiority was enhanced by a naff, non-ironic 80s soft rock soundtrack that we were glad to escape from.
Food was very good. The owner made you feel welcomed. Service was very good
Delicious food, lovely staff, and very reasonable prices. Highly recommend asking the owner about the background story behind the dishes.
Great food definitely recommend booking to eat there.
Went for Anniversary meal it was a special evening the food was delicious the service was brilliant,lovely place,will definately go again when we visit the New forest.
