Very interesting, beautiful in the sunshine. Lovely walking through the forest but very wet underfoot. Nice drive too.

Great walking or cycling. Amazing walk through Tall Trees Hike and parking great, even for motorhome, alas not for overnight! In Oct deer very active for sighting and hearing. For drivers the 40mph zone is an incredible route through the New Forest.

A short walk to see s bit of history amongst some really magnificent trees. The relatively small size of the 40 year old oak planted by the Queen helps put the age of some of the huge trees around in context.

Beautiful area with impressive trees and nice to see a fence and information around the tree. We were really looking forward to seeing the Oak and expected to see a tree that was cherished and cared for. BUT were astonished that the Knightwood Oak was surrounded by other fairly mature trees, bushes, brambles and weeds inside the fence!! Surely these will deprive it of water and nutrition apart from obstructing ones view!! Feel so sorry that to survive 500 years it is not being treated as it should be. Maybe a volunteer group could be set up to care for it. UnfortunatelyI we do not live nearby or we would do it.

Great place to walk the dog or bring children to explore. The fallen trees add adventure. I was disappointed with the Knightwood Oak after reading the reviews as I have seen older and bigger trees in better condition than this one in Kew Gardens.
