Luv this restaurant for a night out with the Mrs, as Couples, with work colleagues, or mates. Food is always great quality and quantity. Service is polite and respectful and they are happy to have a joke and a laugh with you.
Once you have visited this place once, you will definitely return.

Really expensive for two people to eat out. When it was only a takeaway we was looking at having and saw the eat out to help out, thought it may of planned well to eat in. since when has 4 poppadoms been the same price as a meal..and being charged £2 for a doggy bag to take out. Know we are in a recession but this really does take the piss
As a Bangladeshi myself and experience in family run Indian/Bangladeshi restaurants i am extremely picky where I dine out. I visited after looking at the reviews which were relatively good. I was disappointed in the food as it was quite oily and high in salt. The both of us had a bad stomach from the food leaving us both in a lot of pain. Won't be revisiting again. The decor inside was nice. I agree with some other reviewers, very noisy inside hard to hear each other and staff talking very loudly to each other. I did think it was overpriced but thought I'd give it a go. Sometimes when the quality and standard of food is high it's worth paying for but I can't say the same for the food at Tamarind. There was a polish speaking waitress who had a family sat down near us and she was basically stood beside them the whole time conversating laughing joking loudly it was just unprofessional. Will not go back there sorry
