The "bell tower" is a real oddity. Set high on a hill almost a mile from the associated church (in the bottom of a deep valley), it commands a prominent position with good views for a watch tower. It's "compact", with several rooms to explore, but take a torch as its unlit, and the barrel-vaulted cellar/cell is completely dark. Great views, though a steep climb of about 5-10 mins from the road (not wheelchair accessible). Parking can be difficult, though there are a couple of areas a car can pull off the road - please be considerate, as the track past the memorials on the way appears to be private. If you feel particularly energetic, its worth walking down the steep road a way for views of the old church nestled in a picturesque location in the valley bottom. Overall well worth visiting, very evocative, and good information boards.
