Beautiful little hideout in the middle of east London, full of history if you know where to look, from the graves of victims a of the Titanic to monuments damaged by the blitz and WW1 and WW2 stones. St Mary Magdalene church stands in the center of the Nature Reserve and was built by the Normans, the surrounding area has been used to bury the dead since Roman times. When walking around you get a real feel for London history, and a sense of peace and quiet not often found in east London, interrupted only by the bird song.

Very good to have a place like this close to me. When I walk around I feel as free as a bird its quite I just enjoy the reserve

Spooky place, old huge graveyard which overgrown with greenery.
