REVIEW OF SMILE-A-MILE PAINTING Our home has steel siding. As the project manager assigned to our particular project seemed to have a thorough knowledge of how to paint that type of surface, we contracted with SAM to do the job. When the crew arrived to paint, I approached the supervisor to go over the specifics of the job. [The contract called for portions of the siding to be sanded or wire brushed & a high quality primer applied to the entire house.] The supervisor began arguing with me that only portions of the house had to be primed. That told me he had not familiarized himself with the job specs and had not communicated those requirements to the crew. The project manager was called and confirmed what I had told the supervisor. As the work began, it was suggested I leave and have my hair done ‘or something’! When I did a walk around in the afternoon, what I found was: bubble looking bumps all along the front of the house & a portion of one side of the house; multiple places where the paint was sloughing down the siding [slowly moving down the metal]; multiple light spots; areas near the doorbell where it appeared the paint had reacted to a chemical. I called the project manager and he subsequently came to inspect the job. He did take photos of the problem areas. Unfortunately, I was so angry I did not stop and take photos. The crew was told to work on the areas where the paint had sloughed. Instead of a fix, what I ended up with was good size patches where the thick paint was torn off the siding and a new layer of paint was applied. The edges of the torn sections could be clearly seen. Discussions followed with the project manager and office manager saying the same crew supervisor would be sent out to see what could be done to fix the problems. I was also told I had two years to make sure everything was done properly. I did not want to spend two years working on the project with them when it should have been done as contracted - excellent work the first time round. Eventually, they told me, on a project that cost thousands of dollars, they would give us a $300 credit! The problems remain. Incidental problems: man assigned to power wash the house, backed into driveway basket ball hoop; cigarette butts left in the yard; a 3x5’ section of lawn in front of the house killed. The office manager was helpful in selecting colors, but refused to allow me to speak with anyone higher up in the organization about our issues.

We hired Smile A Mile Painting to paint our two story home and shop. The crew showed up on time all 3 1/2 days. When the project manager came out after the crews had completed the job. There was some touch up needed plus I had asked for a grating to be painted. The job was completed and we are now waiting to hire them again to do our interior...would highly recommend them.

I have used smile a mile in the past for exterior painting and they were professional, courteous and clean. Just recently we had them paint our entire interior. They were great to work with from the time of the estimate to coming back to finish some touch ups. Fair pricing and they really worked around our schedule.

I had them paint the living area of my house 2 yrs ago and they did such a fantastic job I knew that I wanted them to paint my master suite! And every time I see their ad on television it just makes me smile! Thank you Smile-aMile!

Second time we used Smile-a-Mile for large projects inside the house. Did a great job at a reasonable rate. Even saw an area in the first job, that they touched up that I hadn't noticed. Will use again for other projects down the road.
