Marriott Savannah Riverfront

My kids and I spent 4 nights at this hotel, and we loved it. The employees were very friendly and professional, as expected of a Marriott property. I must send a special shout out to the housekeeping staff, they did an awesome job cleaning our room. We will definitely be back. Keep up the good work, team.

The location was great, very close to River Street. We were upgraded to the Junior Suite by using our Suite Night Awards. After a long day of walking around Savannah, we came back to take a shower and there was no hot water. Staff was able to switch us almost immediately (but did not apologize for the inconvenience). Put in a request for additional pillows and towels, and they were never delivered (but the status was "closed" on the app). Staff did apologize for that, which i do appreciate and had them bring them up within the next 10 minutes. The mini fridge appeared to be defective. The door would not close and the floor was wet in front of it. We were constantly being woke up throughout the night with little to no sound proofing (and the huge gap in the door did not help). Overall, nice hotel but needs improvement. The $30 per day parking seems excessive, at least have it waived for Platinum Elite members. Would i stay here again for our next trip? Still undecided

I would not recommend you stay here. While the rooms are nice and you have a nice view, there are hidden fees. The hotel does not have free breakfast. It's like $20 a plate. Also, they charge you to park in the parking lot. What hotel doesn't offer free parking? No one told us this upfront either. You have to hunt for it on their website. The air in the room did not get cool and the bed and pillows were nowhere near firm. I struggled all night to sleep because the pillows would not good their shape. This place cost way too much money not to have parking and breakfast included. If we would've known all this, we would've stayed somewhere else. Those extra fees really out a damper on the day in Savannah we had.

Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Staff was professional when answering questions and helpful in ideas for those visiting area. Staff for resturant area near lobby were great. Dawn and Kay gave consistent great customer service and were personable. Rooms were nice and clean. Food was good. Close enough to walk to good eats and nice spots downtown. Would stay again.

Beds were hard, Took 1-2hrs to get rags and towels after 2nd day.
