Ramside Hall Hotel

Had a takeaway meal on valentines, the staff were very polite, social distance was well observed, the food.....my god the food was out of this world and big portion sizes too! 10/10 can't wait to go back!!!

The hotel was lovely. Asked for a view of the golf course but got a room over looking the car park. Maybe that's booking. Com's fault. First breakfast had to talk the manager reference the chef putting fresh food on top of the old. Dont expect to get a lounger in the spa where the hydro pool is even tho you pay an extra 30.00 per person. We had to share two days running for a few hours. The staff in the hotel are absolutely friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. Especially the spa staff.... They work so hard with such enthusiasm on a long shift.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed by our first stay at Ramside. We had a room in the old side (requested one in the new if possible) which was small and very dated, and surely should be at a cheaper rate than those in the new in comparison?! Weren't able to get our complementary upgrade due to no availability. Bathroom was unfortunately still dirty on check in. Yes the hotel has thorough Covid precautions in place but the protocols in the spa were very poorly communicated to us at both receptions. Info at the spa was particularly lacking from the member of reception staff who greeted us. Had no idea you could purchase access to two additional pools until an hour into our slot and at £30 each didn't bother for the sake of an hour. Had no idea we didn't have an open account on the room when we got to the spa so had to go back up to the room to get card. Spent 10 minutes trying to order drinks via a QR code after being advised to scan it by pool staff (who had left us with a menu). Was advised if QR code didn't work I could keep walking through to fusion bar to get my own drinks. We came to a 4 star hotel to relax?? Approached sometime later by another member of pool staff who quickly sorted our drinks. Took us an hour into our spa slot to get some drinks. On the plus side, the staff in Fusion were very attentive during our evening meal and the food was nice.
