The official in this case was Vinayak Chauhan whose name I should have mentioned in my review.
So I applied for an expedited 7 day renewal on their website. They charged me $400 for this. They failed to tell me that they couldn't provide this service due to covid and then asked me if I was OK with the covid rules for renewal which is 6-8 weeks. They did not refund me for the amount, I am in complete limbo. I have spent an hour tonight just trying to figure out what is going on. Until they fix this I will keep this post.
Very fast, easy and efficient process! I honestly was a little nervous about mailing out my passport but they took care of it and kept me in the loop the whole time. Took like MAYBE 5 days total. Thanks for the awesome and quick service!!
I am sure you can see a more current pattern of bad reviews, not sure what's happening.. but do not trust the 4.5 STAR you see, I am writing this on the 10th of march, which is a whole month after my experience just because I was giving them a chance to fix the issue, and NOTHING! I AM VERY disappointed !
I applied on the 3rd of January , I sent all the requested documents and application form and paid 99$ plus courier, they received my documents, reviewed it and said all looks great and they will forward it. I got a call back from the embassy a few days later saying my document was missing my second name and signature. SOMETHING THAT VISAHQ SHOULD HAVE SEEN EASILY AND UPDATED ME!! LITERALLY THEIR JOB!!
after that the embassy continued to contact me to confirm my current residency status and I had to contact a bunch of contacts to confirm things for them, etc. which again I was doing visahq's job! I spent time and energy doing their job for 4 weeks! AND I LOST 99$+. I paid a large fee for a job I didn't receive. They literally were only a courier process, which I also paid extra for $27.
I assumed working with VISAHAQ would help make sure all my documents are correct and communicate to the embassy my status and do all the necessary calls and clarifications to make sure I get my visa. They did non of that. I don't expect a whole refund (embassy cost, courier and service).. but definitely expect a refund back for the service cost I paid and didn't get of $99! I contacted them and they said, they'll work on it and then never got back to me, I call and no answer, email and no response! PLEASE PLEASE AIM TO DO THE PROCESS YOURSELF BEFORE WASTING YOUR TIME AND MONEY! Im mad that it wasn't just a bad experience and waste of my money, but also the customer service is bad. I mean the least thing you can do after a bad experience is treat your customer well and refund them so they can even CONSIDER recommending or trying again with you. However, I will never use them again since I haven't heard back from them!
If I hear back and get the refund, I will update with another more positive review, for all you people out there that count on reviews like I do!
I've been very disappointed with the service I have received from the DC office. The office is very slow to respond whether using email or by phone. I've been trying to get a document authenticated for months now through them. Part of the issue was that my paperwork was stolen from the courier's backpack which I don't blame them for; however, there has been other issues that they could have taken responsibility for such as noticing a needed missing stamp from the notary public (even though it was already authenticated by the Secretary of State and the State Department). If you need your authentication done quickly and stress-free, I would suggest a different company or possibly a different branch of VisaHQ. My experience with the Chicago branch was a lot better.
