If you're looking for a bit of first hand historical experience then this is the right place to be. Recently the place hasn't really looked up to standard due to poor maintenance, but it still holds so much historical value and it's still an amazing place to visit nonetheless. I remember when I visited this place as a little boy, it was so full of life and there was plenty to see and learn about.. A few years later and it feels rather disappointing to know that a place of this great importance is being mishandled this way. I hope the right authorities and people in charge will rise up and change the state of the place so as to keep the legacy of our first president, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah alive.

Great place to visit when in Accra. There's so much to learn about Nkrumah, and this place is a good start. Drawback: the place needs more regular maintenance and better management.

A great place preserving the life and times of Dr Kwame Nkrumah. However I honestly believe the maintenance can be much better. The fountains had no water and it was clear it was really lacking general maintenance hopefully will be much better in the future. Entry fee is 10 Cedis per person and there is a guide that talks you through the history. This was my favourite part as he was very well versed in Ghana history.
