The is an adults only review! 5 stars if you are coming here with kids!
Holy cow we got to touch a stingray and it's the most beautiful slimy sack of cartilage you'll ever lay hands on
I absolutely love the aquarium! It is a great place to take children and explore the different species that live in different areas of the world/all the different oceans, rivers, lakes, etc.
It is always so clean, the tanks are also always kept to the highest standard which is most important in my opinion (as the animals that occupy them should have decent habitats if they aren't in the wild).
The short movies/films are always so well done and occur many time throughout the day; they do a great job of making it so you can see one if you would like during your visit.
It is a bit pricey and the parking is another (overpriced) fee but annually it is worth it as it is a nice experience and one you will remember. Enjoy :)
We loved it. We got to see most of the attractions. There's a lot of educational information and really cool updated gadgets for kids. My daughter's got to draw their own fish on a tablet and it was displayed on a giant screen. We also touched a sting ray and a horseshoe crab. It was super fun! Be sure to pick up a map so you can stamp your stops.
Omgee, we had so much fun! My sisters and I took my 9 month old nephew. It was our first time ever going so we were as excited as the baby. My sisters and I are museum fanatics and The Aquarium had the museum feel but with water and sea life which made it even better. Being able to interact and see some of the beauty of the ocean was an awesome experience. We even touched a few stingrays and jellyfish! We got my nephew some cool souvenirs too! We'll definitely be returning.
So the main reason I came to Los Angeles, CA was to visit this museum. I wasn't disappointed. Everything about this museum was great. Be prepared when you go toward the rain forest dome, good god, it's so humid!! But an amazing experience all together. Would love to go back one day
