Cassie is a really good wax specialist. We had good conversations during the wax and it was painless for me. Overall the experience here was very good! I would recommend anyone new to come to this location!
Growing up as one hairy man I always thought that getting waxed was just for the ladies. Well let me just tell you people something, I will never go back to shaving my brows or pits again!!! I went into the EWC with just the intentions of learning about the process. The front desk host, Courtney, was amazing. She gave me all the information I needed to feel the utmost ease and comfort. Emma was my esthetician and she worked wonders...I cannot stop looking in the mirror not to mention there was no pain. If you people want to feel welcomed and cared for please try the European Wax Center.
Looking for a place that is super clean, has a great staff, and not to mention takes away all those little pesky hairs? Then, the European Wax Center is the place to be! When I entered this business as a first timer I was greeted by the sweetest little blondie named Courtney. She was able to check me in with ease and ensured me that my wax appointment was going to be a breeze since I was with one of the best waxers, Cassie. Oh boy was she right. Cassie is one of the best estheticians and I will be sure to book each appointment with her in the future. Cassie made this process painless and fun. She explained everything while she was doing it and within minutes I was hair free. Since the EWC offers packages (which Courtney can provide information on financial benefits for each) I seriously cannot wait to go back for my next appointments!
I have been going to EWC Morrisville for just about 3 years now, and I have never had a bad experience until today, and it was TERRIBLE! I will NEVER go back to ANY EWC establishment again in MY LIFE!!!
Today when I went in for my scheduled appointment, I was greeted by an exceptionally rude young lady named Courtney, who did not even say hello, instead said "why don't you have a mask?" First off... GREAT customer service skills Courtney, I felt SO WELCOME (NOT) entering this store. I responded to Courtney kindly, although frankly I did not want to considering the tone she used with me first. I said, "Good afternoon, I'm medically exempt and therefore am not required to wear one." She replied, "Is that even a real thing, are you serious, I've never heard of that." Well Courtney, you obviously have some things to learn about both the world around you, and how to treat other human beings. At this point, I am quite irritated, but doing my absolute best to maintain a kind and respectful attitude toward someone plainly not caring to do the same. I said to young Courtney, "Yes dear this is a real thing and has been for well over a year now, actually." She spat back, "do you like have a card or something so I know you're not lying" People... the disrespect was LUDICRIOUS!! Lividity has set in now, I bit my tongue and said to the hateful young woman, "you are not legally allowed to ask anyone that question unfortunately as I have already stated that I am medically exempt. I am here for my scheduled appointment..." and I gave her my name and appointment time. She turned the corner, then came back almost instantaneously to inform me that none of the waxers would accept my appointment since I refused to wear a mask. The camel's back has now been broken folks, Courtney has pushed me over the edge. I asked for a full refund for all of my prepaid services, as I ALWAYS purchase the Wax Passes to save $$$, and Courtney told me that since there was no manager present that I would not be given a refund. RED FLAG NUMBER 87 AT THIS POINT!!! I asked her to call the manager immediately while I was there to begin my refund process, at which point she pulled out her cell phone AND I WATCHED HER DIAL A FAKE NUMBER, ALLOW IT TO RING ONCE, THEN HANG UP!!!! She told me that because the "manager" did not answer that I would not be given a refund.
This is lower than low. This is worse than bad customer service, EWC employs people that do not even care to treat others with respect, common decency, or to even speak to customers in a professional tone. EWC needs some serious upgrades in regards to company policies regarding religious or medically based exemptions. I would also recommend training for your obviously ignorant employees. As an HR professional, your company is opening itself to obscene levels of liability, your employees are literally breaking federal laws. No one should be treated as less than human, and that is exactly what Courtney made me feel like today.
Neither I, nor any of my friends (as I have reached out to them prior to writing this review) will EVER spend another CENT at any EWC establishment. This company is not WORTHY of our hard earned money.
***Day of update***
I received a phone call from the district manager, who was the epitome of kind. She called me to offer an apology for SOMEONE ELSE while she was driving home from out of state... THAT is customer service! I'm definitely a bit happier now, thanks again for the call! I've been informed that I will indeed receive the refund I requested in store, as well as a promotional gift. I was also informed that the Morrisville EWC team has ensured this issue will not arise again for other customers going forward! If I am to return, I think I may venture out to a new location though, fresh new vibes can definitely change a person's mindset. I appreciate the quick turnaround time that upper level management has provided, a speedy resolution also makes a significant difference.
