Macaw Mountain straddles a fine line between being a zoo and a wildlife sanctuary. Many of the birds aren't endangered but are still kept in captivity. Only some cages are specifically for rehabilitation. Some birds perform stunts. Otherwise, there are some 25 cages, and the birds are magnificent to behold. One can easily spend several hours here, as besides the birds there are also labeled trees and a stream, with benches to relax in and enjoy the scenery.
