One of the most creative memorials to Croatian War of Independence (Homeland War). On June 27h 1991., one of many tanks of Yugoslav Army (JNA) ran over old red Fiat (In Croatia we call it Fićo) an smashed it like it is made of paper. The video was viral on that day in news around Croatia and the world. After the war, simbolically Osijek has risen the monument showing that same Red Fićo running over and crushing JNA tank. Osijek was never taken. Croatia defended itself from Serbian agression. That is what that represents.
