Vukojevci is a village located on the Nasice-Djakovo road. The very name of the village "Vukojevci" dates from 1470. One period was under peasant rule and later as a frontier village under Turkish rule. In 1730 the Archdeacon Dumbovic wrote in the report on the parish of Nasa: "The Vukojevci have 38 Catholic houses, and they have a wooden church with a wooden tower with a bell. Inside the church there is a crucifix and 4 wooden candlesticks on the altar. A 6-and-a-half-meter-high bell tower was erected above the chapel. Covered with planks, and ending with a dome. It is colored red. There are two bells in it. One about 100 libre and the other about 40 libre. At that time, the cemetery was located outside the village, surrounded by boards, erected and crucified with a body, and buried the deceased from the villages of Kršinci and Stipanovci. The service of God was celebrated every other Sunday and on the holidays, especially on the Feast of Sts. St. Anthony the Hermit, and on the Feast of Rana Sv. Francis of Assisi. " When, by the provision of Bishop Maximilian Vrhovac of Zagreb in 1789, a parish was established in Podgorac, which until 1808 was governed by the Franciscans of Nasice, the Vukojevci became a branch of the parish in Podgorac. In 1820, a wooden church in Vukojevci was demolished and a new one was erected, which still exists today. As this new church was built by the work of Count Ferdinand Pejačević, it also received a new patron saint of heaven - blessed in honor of St. Ferdinand to the King. He was blessed on October 22, 1820 by Paul Ruskan, the archdeacon deacon and pastor of the Fericanites, with a great celebration of the locals. The Vukojevci were part of the parish in Podgorac until August 1846, when, by the provision of the Archdiocesan spiritual table in Zagreb, they were re-annexed to the parish of Nasice. Antun Padovansky. Since then, the church in Vukojevci has been re-dedicated to St. To Francis of Assisi.
