Green Motion Car Rental

Very professional and friendly stuff. The condition of car was exceptional. Even got the upgraded class. Picking up and returning the car was done within 10 minutes. My recommendation.

Every thing went super quick for me.

This was by far the worst car rental experience of my life. Everything from picking it up to dropping it off was abysmal. When we arrived in Zagreb, I called the Greenmotion representative to let them know I had arrived. Because the facility is about 5 minutes from the airport, they arrange for someone to pick you up and take you to the office to fill out paperwork. When I picked up the car, I noticed it was in very poor condition; I asked if they had a different car I could rent and they said they did not - this was the only automatic vehicle available in their fleet. Given that I had just spent 16+ hours traveling and didn't seem like I had much of a choice at this point, I accepted the vehicle and drove off. Within a few minutes, I noticed that the vehicle (red VW Passat wagon - BEWARE!) was absolutely filthy. When you rent a car in a normal environment, you expect it to be clean - when you rent a car in the middle of a global pandemic, you expect it to be EXCEPTIONALLY clean. This was not the case. There was cigarette ash in the back seat and filth/stains everywhere. On top of this, the car's performance was very poor and I noticed it had nearly 200,000KM on it, which is absolutely unheard of for a rental car. I planned to do 1,000KM+ of driving so this was a bit concerning. The next day, I called Greenmotion to voice these issues and they told me I could drive back to their facility near the airport and they would clean the car for me. This was fine, but why wasn't it cleaned beforehand? I was staying with family 60+ minutes from the airport, so of course it didn't make sense for me to drive all the way back there, so I spent 2+ hours cleaning the car myself. Fast forward 3 weeks... I went to return the car around 7:15AM (I had an 8:30 flight) and found that no one was there. I called the phone number and the gentleman told me he was on his way. Eventually, someone arrived, but it seemed odd that only ONE person was both working the desk + picking up / dropping off customers. This was grossly inefficient and not ideal for airport travelers. There were additional issues with the length of the car rental and Greenmotion's refusal to offer a refund for 6 unused days, but I won't get into that now. Needless to say, that experience was very much what I expected given everything that happened up until that point. If you can, avoid this company at ALL costs. Their low price point does not at all make this experience worth it.

Stay away from this place. They try to rent a car with 190,000km and all the lights (check engine, tire pressure, oil pressure) blinking or on. Very unprofessional customer service. Car was Kia, not sure what type.
