We should imagine it is nice and hot in the main season. However we visited it in mid September. The sin is behind you and the trees shade the beach giving you around 1 to 2 hours of sunshine. It definitely needs to create more sunny pitches and seating places. We got quite cold in the shaded pitches. Other wise it is very clean and tidy with great showers.

Perfect camp for families with children. Super clean toilets and bathrooms. Very professional and kind staff. Almost every corner of camp has shade, and the mobile houses are wide and comfortable. We enjoyed staying in two tents and one mobile house, highly recommendable!

We have travelled across Europe and decided to call at Hvar island. We stayed at camp Vira a 20min drive from the ferry. It's one of the best sites we've been on. It's authentic and away from the commercial and massive housing estate type sites you find in Croatia. Pitches are spacious and serviced. Very clean toilets, great restraunt and bar right on a sheltered beach and bay. Also the site staff were great and always had time to advise.

Arrived at this site having called the day before. They found us a lovely pitch with water for our large motorhome overlooking a lovely bay. The site is rugged and we didnt use the facilities much. The bar / restaurant didnt appear to be well supported but then the beautiful town of hvar is just 10 minutes away on the scooter. The young man helping us to find a pitch was lovely and the reception staff were very very helpful in particular anna marie. We ended up staying here for 8 nights. We spent our time away from the beach on the rocks in a little quiet bay where we could relax all day and enjoy the sea with our dog. Very very peaceful. It doesnt have all the whistles and bells of some of the bigger sites but the location is lovely and the sea is amazing!

If you looking for peaceful, quite and cosy vacation in June or September with family, friends or just as couple, without stress and noise - this is the place for you...We stayed in the mobile house (retro style interior), clean, spacious with nice terrace. Public showers and toilets are very clean. Stuff friendly and helpful. Although, some renovation is probably needed - mini golf, stairs from the beach to the sea...Nice restaurant with coffee bar on the beach. Whole camping area is well included in the environment, nature respected. Bay is beautiful, sea clean. Dog friendly. Overall - nice experience. Town is app. 10 min driving distanced. Renting prices are reasonable. Good starting point for exploring all beauties of the Hvar Island.
