I rented a car with XL and they charged a $1,000 hold to my credit card for the rental. I returned the car without issue on December 21st and was told that they would release the hold. It took nearly four weeks to resolve.
As I already mentioned for their other location, I would give them 0 if possible. The advice I wish someone had given it to me: don't rent from other country, try directly while in Croatia because they have different prices online and different once when you get there. The most expensive rent a car in the whole world!!and yet,their insurances and employees and space rental much cheaper. Good promotion for Croatia!

We got ripped off too! Our tires were slashed and the car was still being driven by the tow truck. The consequential damage to the car, which we clearly rejected, were also billed to us in the amount of 1200 CHF / 1000 euros ... We remained stubborn until we had no other option but to sign, otherwise we would have missed our flight a real mess !!!!!
Scammers - a small dent in the bumper pulled us PLN 4,800 !!
