Just wonderful. This is the heart of Split. Beautiful columns really well preserved creating a space where people can sit around and enjoy from this fantastic view

Amazing place which was originally built of Roman emperor and and then in middle ages was religious center or city with mausoleum converted to cathedral. Try to come in the morning to avoid crowds and it is also very nice in the evening with live guitar music and so many people around.

The Peristil is one of the most unique town squares in Europe and maybe even the world. It’s a great place to people watch and it’s truly the center of Split, geographically and culturally. If you sit on the red cushions here, you will be served food or drink from the Luxor restaurant. From this spot, you can watch Diocletian address the crowd at 12 pm each day.
