Bluesun Hotel Kastelet

Marked as a four star hotel, in reality a two star one. If you want a relaxing accomodation, then stay away from this one, as swimming pool noise is very loud throughout the day, and pool pumps throughout all night. Outdated and very basic stay. The beach is very close though, only a couple of steps from the hotel entrance.

The staff was friendly, but the service was less than we would have expected. For example we had a wine cooler with a bottle of wine and a bottle of water, the wine was delicious by the way, but none of the waiters came to the idea to refill our glasses. Would have been nice. The food was good. Over all it was a little bit expansive.

Bluesun hotel Alga is about 1.30 minutes away from Split airport, so a bit of a coach trip. For this review l will start first with the Good things about this hotel. There is a safe in every room which is free, there are nice touches with the complements in the bathroom, the staff are friendly & helpful, there is a good equipped gym & indoor swimming pool with jacuzzi & sauna, the free Wi-Fi is strong & covers all of the hotel. Now the Not so Good, some guests are not all inclusive & the staff give them priority treatment so your left feeling like a second-class guest. Meals is the next thing we went down for breakfast at 7.05am (starts at 7.00am) & the only thing colder than the bacon was the orange juice (& that was so watered down you can just make it out to be orange) this was the same for all meal’s cold food. The thing that was warm was our mini fridge in the room it was belling heat out (all goods inside of this have to be paid for) I reported this to the guy in charge of stocking the fridge & I got the impression I was just talking to the wall. Next Room cleanness, unfortunately I broke a glass on the first night of our stay & cleaned it up but for shards that had gone under the bed thinking the cleaner would sort that out, after our weeks stay, they were still there & probably are still there. The bed side phone (see pic’s) I think started life being white had never been cleaned. Conclusion: Would I stay again? No

It's a nice place. However, every one of the four meals I've had so far was to salty.

We went all inclusive the coke is served in red wine glasses so you dont get a lot unless you pay more decafe coffee you pay for complaind to reception and the tui rep made no diferance left early with a packed breakfast 4 peices of bread hunny a pack of margerein cheese no knife to butter the bread
