The beautiful church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Sotin is still being renovated.
The Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary Help of Christians in Sotina was severely damaged in the Homeland War.
During the restoration, a medieval wall was discovered, which was used in the late Baroque reconstruction of the church, after the liberation of Slavonia from the Turks.
The church was rebuilt on two more occasions, but was damaged again in 1944 during World War II. During the 1970s, the bell tower was partially restored, and after its demise in 1991, it was restored under conservation supervision, while respecting all historical layers.
