This is arguably the best mountain home in Croatia. Very clean, drinking water, great food, *cold beer*, absolutely loved it. You actually feel you are in a resort, and not on a top of the mountain where you can get only by foot.

Risnjak is much better and easier to visit, for example, than Plitvitdkije Lakes. There are small number of people. You can walk 2 hours as a minimal trip, you can even use baby car. There is a wood of silence ) I would recommend to take some snacks with you, it will be very tasty to eat it during a stop and rest. Another option, is to visit small cafe near from entrance. Especially, I highly recommend desert with blueberry - lots of blueberry and very tasty. It's just 1 hours by car from Rijeka.
