Vrlika is nice little place which can suddenly came alive when Croatian national theater from Split in summer is showing famous comic opera Ero s onoga svijeta (Erom from other world, or Ero the Joker) in Vrlicka Cesma.

Beautiful nature and even better spring water. Nearby is a restaurant and a promenade along the stream.

Česma (Vrilo) is a picturesque park from the 19th century where one of the numerous tributaries of the river Cetina springs. The spring is descended on three sides by stone steps, and water flows from six stone spouts on the stone wall. As a place of gathering and socializing, the fountain played an important role in the life of the people of Vrlika and inspired Milan Begović, whose libretto was used to compose the most popular Croatian opera, 'Ero from the Other World'. There is also a monument to Begović. The fountain is the most original stage on which 'Ero' is performed in the summer.
