When you drive from Knin -Drniš road to Otavice, right at the first crossroads in the place, opposite the New Family House of Ivan Meštrović from 1912, lies the source of Banovaca. As far as I can understand, the source was edited and enclosed by the "Hygiene Department of Trogir in 1929." (writes on the board on the building itself). In addition to this plate on the spring, a tombstone from the 1st century BC depicts the horseman. They say the source was devastated in the Homeland War. However, since the war has passed, we know how many years and really there is no justification for the spring and its surroundings look like this. The loose parts are there, they are not taken out of here and just need to be back in place and securely fastened. With little will this can look wonderful. There, in the vicinity, to the Church of the Blessed Sacrifice (Meštrović's Mausoleum) someone (Museums of Ivan Meštrović, Tourist Board .. ????) cares about tourist informations and set up some info info (about Meštrović's house, anti-malarial station, elementary school .. ) but apart from the location of the church itself, they all remained largely unharmed with the unspoilt surroundings. And this is really a shame because whoever goes to visit the Church sees this and all these are beautiful impressions that he has acquired fad.
