The town is beautiful people honorable but live in the past. I don't think they like tourists, maybe it was just a bad day, but it left a negative mark on me.

The Knights' Town of Sinj is the pride of our homeland with a successful Headquarters and led by an even more successful Mayor in the City of Alkar.

Sinj city. Sinj is located in the heart of the Dalmatian hinterland, in the valley of the Cetina river, at the foot of the Dinara mountain 35 km from Split. The city of Sinj is known throughout the region for its Marian shrine with the adjoining Franciscan convent dedicated to Our Lady of Sinj (Gospa Siniska). Our Lady of the Assumption is its patron saint. A famous carousel (Sinjska Alka) is celebrated every year in this beautiful city to commemorate the famous victory over the Turks in 1715 in thanksgiving to the Madonna who is considered to have saved the population from the invasion of the Turkish army. On the mountain overlooking the city there is the Church of San Michele and the statue of the Madonna Protectress of Sinj. Beautiful city, very interesting that is worth a visit and if you go to the hill where there is the statue of the Madonna you can admire the whole panorama of the city and its surroundings.
