A really important historical monument for the town of Slavonski Brod. If you like ducks, there's a good number of them around the fort. I like ducks, so I give this 5 stars.

I've been here many times. I saw a rock concert here in 2017, mostly 1980's and 1990's Croatian and some Serbian rock groups. I look forward to going back.

The Brod fortress is located in the city center of Slavonski Brod. It is a big complex of great significance for history and science. Good place to visit for either tourists or the residents. You can have a picnic there is a nice park for children and it is dog friendly. I will not rate it 5 stars because the accessibility is far from great. Most of the place is not paved, there is just gravel and u can get dirty easily. There are not enough parking spots but there is a charger for electric cars. There is not a single restaurant there so you can't have a meal. The back of the fortress is not mowed and the grass is really tall, which can be unsafe. In the part of the complex there is a museum of tambura (tambura is a classic Slavonian instrument).There is also an art gallery that is occasionally opened and highschool over there. Parts of the complex are in the ruins and are not safe, even though they are unrestrained.The place is indeed nice to visit but if you explore a little more you will see that it is not as amazing as it seems and it could be a lot more maintained then it is.
