City hall Šibenik

They gave us a penalty for being 3 minutes late to our car after we had already paid twice(on parking ticked and an extension after). This was done while other local cars had no permits visible.

Šibenik is a historic city in Dalmatia where the river Krka flows into the Adriatic Sea. It is educational, industrial and tourist center and the third largest city in Dalmatia. In the city of Šibenik there are four fortresses, each of which has views of the city, sea and nearby islands. The fortresses are now tourist sightseeing destinations. St. Nicholas Fortress is located on the island at the entrance of Šibenik Channel. It is included in UNESCO 's World Heritage Site list. St. Michael's Fortress is in historic town centre. There ara and St. John Fortress and Barone Fortress. The Kornati archipelago, west of Šibenik, consists of 150 islands making it the densest archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea. City hall is running along one side of the square opposite the Cathedral, this 16th-century. The beautifully proportioned colonnaded loggia now houses the restaurant, and also forms the backdrop to many of the events comprising the annual Šibenik Children’s Festival.

The town hall (1533-1546), is a Renaissance building adorned with columns and balustrades that rises in front of the cathedral. Destroyed by Allied bombing in 1943, it was completely rebuilt, which explains its brand new appearance. It currently houses the Vijećnica café-restaurant and various activities are held throughout the year such as the Annual Children's Festival.
