Valamar Tamaris Villas

Very pleasant place. Thanks to the whole Valamar team!

The resort is really worn down and desperately need renovation. You pay for 5 * but get 3* standard. Nevertheless the gardens are well kept and also the outdoor playgrounds are great. The rooms are not cleaned properly and the air con does not reach the bedrooms properly due to its placement in the villas. There are not enough sun beds around the pool so people start „booking“ seats with their towels which is not a proper behavior for a 4* resort. Having to pay for sun beds at the beach when already paying 50% more than last year is not acceptable. Maro club is great! Kids loved it with excellent staff. That gets 5*!!! Such a shame that only 50% of the club is open though and no excursions are done. False marketing on the website and at the booking central because this was not mentioned. We wanted Tamaris specifically because of the kids club excursions to pony riding etc! Food is good but almost no variety. Local drinks have very bad quality (no Light versions offered except water) and having to pay extra for fresh pressed juice when already paying premium is not acceptable. The health program is really annoying because it meant calling for room cleaning every day until finally we got that on a routine. Also the large kids climbing area in the main hall is disinfected but not cleaned so it’s filled with dust and waste not removed. Also the small kids Pool next to the Mario club smells really badly and does not come across as very clean. Staff is friendly and the bar areas are all really nice and we really enjoyed the evening entertainment. Won’t come back unless the standard improves.

It was again a pleasant stay at Valamar but we missed the mandatory social distancing and masks in the hotel at the reception and in the restaurant.
