The Erdödy Castle in Jastrebarsko, the oldest building in the city, is located in a beautiful old park, a horticultural monument. Arriving in a nice park you can immediately see a beautiful monumental castle. Unfortunately, the castle is now neglected. The castle is a lowland fort surrounded by water lizards. The castle was built by Matija Gereb in the period from 1483 to 1489. Later the castle bought the Erdödy family. And until 1922 the castle was in their possession. The castle is beautiful in shape with beautiful rounded towers. Stephen Erdödy, a lover of nature and hunting was founded by him in the Natural History Museum. Subsequently bought it wholesaler Ehrman, and when he failed in 1936, the municipality had bought for the children's home. Very beautiful castle and nice quiet place.

It's a ruin. The park around is nice.

The castle looks really bad but I guess it will go through some renovation. Unlike the castle, the park around it is great. There's a small pond there, nice trees and great to have a 20-30 minute walk around all of it. Best part of Jastrebarsko.

It's a beautiful building. It is sad that no one maintains it. All the windows are broken, roof is falling apart, walls are destroyed... Such a shame.
