"In the western part of the square, there is an impressive white poplar, a natural monument locally known as Gorica. Planted in 1910, the Gorica poplar owes its longevity to the nearby spring. The volume of its trunk is 630 centimeters, while its lush crown provides a pleasant shade, ideal as a resting spot for guests and daily discussions of locals on current affairs. No wonder Gorica is also called the Parliament of Baška. The square with the Gorica poplar is one of the stages of the Baška Voda Summer festival."(Copied from tourist site of Baška Voda) .
