The Gothic - Renaissance church was first mentioned in the 14th century. It played an important role in a preparation for the citizen revolt in 1510, when it was used as a sort of headquarters for the insurgents. In the nearby street the insurgents swore to kill all the local nobles, which is why the wooden crucifix cried out blood in the house of Bevilacqua on February 6, 1510 according to a legend. the relief of the announcement is in the Renaissance lunette.
