Diving Center VIKING

Everything from start to finish was safe and relaxed. We did a refresher dive and 2 boat dives in one day and had a great time. Rental equipment is very good quality, instructors are excellent, and Zsanett is a master of organizing everything from the dives to lunch from the hotel next door. I can't recommend this place enough!

Out of three shops we went to in Croatia this was the best. Professional with a good dive. I used my own equipment but their rental equipment looked good. Pros: professionalism, equipment, organized, helpful and friendly Cons: a ways away from town (not ideal location)

Great experience and location. Very professional staff and refresher dive in the morning was perfect before we went out in the afternoon. They took care of everything and were able to take a card for payment.

Dive site was ok. We saw more on our refresher course practice dive from shore than we did on the open water dive. We had a wonderful guide on the practice dive - Damien - who went out of his way to make sure everyone feels safe and confident and pointed out marine life that we would never be able to locate on our own (including a bizarre scorpion fish). However, the open water dive was a different story. The ratio of divers to guides seemed exorbitant (1 seasoned guide, 1 incompetent junior guide, and about 8 divers). Divers complained about the group getting split up and not knowing where to go. On top of that, we saw almost zero marine life on the open water dive, only some cool seaweed. This is probably due to the fact that there was no guide to point out the sea life. Overall, seasoned staff was exceptional, especially Damien and the two female guides - they are patient, knowledgeable and obviously put safety first. Can't say the same for the one junior guide hired for the summer (look for a pale Irish young guy). He was completely careless. On our group dive, he had one job - to stay in the back of the group and oversee that no one gets left behind. Instead, he swam ahead, leaving two divers behind. The girl's fin had fallen off and she had trouble putting it back on. Her partner tried to get help but the junior guide swam ahead of everyone and disappeared. It was the junior guide who tightened the girl's fins to begin with! The girl was stranded on rocks trying to get help for majority of the dive and ended up with severe cuts on her hands. Pretty lame experience that could have easily been avoided. Would be 5 stars if not for the incompetent junior guide. Overall, still would recommend Viking Dive Center.

Amazing experience, everyone there was incredibly friendly and experienced! Top notch safety and passionate guides. The dive spots are beautiful and visibility is amazing! I can’t recommend them enough!
