Catholic Church surrounded with peaceful graveyard. Placed on a hill with nice view.
Beautiful chapel built in 1831
Stifling people crash during the mass without ventilation
Leonard was converted to Christianity in 496 by St. Remigius, Bishop of Reims. The king offered honor to Leonard, among them the bishop's dignity, but he lacked fame, power and prestige. He demanded from the king only the privilege of freeing the captives, and using them profusely. He wanted to live according to the Gospel and retired to the forest solitude near Limoges (Limousin province), where he gathered a large number of followers. His desert days were filled with prayer and penance. He lived on forest grasses, fruits, and spring water, and he converted many travelers to Christianity.
One day, Leonard's loneliness was interrupted by King Klodvig, who was hunting with great entourage. Queen Clotilda was also with the King, who was just suddenly in the throes of childbirth. Leonard's prayer and care provided the Queen a happy birth. The King thanked Leonard for the land near the source and the means to build Noblac Abbey and the church there in honor of the Mother of God. The settlement of Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat (Haute-Vienne department, west-central France) later developed along this abbey. He died about 559, and has been attributed many miracles, including the liberation from slavery of the famous crusader Boemund of Antioch (1103).
According to legend, the prisoners who would summon him were fired by the shackles and chains to which they were tied. He is called upon for burglaries and robberies, and for animal diseases, and is the patron saint of barrels, blacksmiths, prisoners, prisoners of war, miners, boilers, grocers, vegetable growers, locksmiths, pregnant women, maternity wives, horses, many settlements, and is dedicated to more than 600 parishes, churches and chapels throughout Europe and Croatian regions (Gradec Pokupski near Pisarovina, Laduč near Brdovec, Cernik, Vrhi Pregradski, Goričan in Međimurje, Pravutina near Žakanja, Donje Prilišće near Netretić, Hill near Čabra, Vižintini Vrhi near Oprtalj, Bajčići na Krk, Dragove on the Long Island).
