I recently took a bike tour with private artisan jewelry making class. I was not sure what to expect on this tour. I can say that I was beyond satisfied with the entire experience. As it was off season, there were only the two of us (although maximum is only 6 people). We started at the meeting point which Is a modern and artsy Bed and Breakfast and met our guides from Lobagola Tours. The experience was welcoming and like being greeted by family. Our tour started on a bike ride through the city along with a few stopping points for some photos and stories. We were welcomed then, by the gentleman at the Artisan Jewelry store. He gave us a brief tour and discussed some of what they do and what the importance of trade and crafts are in Croatia. Next a short walk to the studio where we were given a walk through before we started our project. We were making engagement rings. We started with some sketches and then moved to collecting the material. We started with a length of silver rod and through many steps we shaped, stretched, sanded, and bugged out two rings. We were able to etch something personal on the inside. We w ere able to be as hands on as we wished and guided through each step. This course would be great for people with skills and experience as well as people with none at all. The bike ride back again included a stop and we finished where we started. We were even given video clips of our experience. Everyone involved was beyond wonderful, professional, knowledgeable, and provided great service and experience to us. This was such a special experience because of what we made, but also because of the details about the cities and arts community we learned. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in art and wants a unique and wonderful experience as a very reasonable price. Thank you very much Lobagola Tours!!!!
Beautiful and cosy little hotel, that feels like home away from the home. Beautiful breakfast and very friendly staff.
Apartment very close to the center of town, 3 tram stops
