Dollar Thrifty | Car Rental | Dubrovnik

Having researched all other R-a-C Dubrovnik providers well ahead of the trip, Dollar/THRIFTY came 1st of course. Irrespective of the fact that this is just a local franchise, the rep was trully professional and made us feel comfortable about it all indeed. Of course that many dents/breaks/stains/scratches were not captured originally - we thoroughly checked the vehicle and took many photos and had those added to the car description prior to taking the car out. Fuel was reported as full but was actually just over 3/4 - sadly this was not spotted on-time (holiday joy). Driving and parking here can be rather challanging so just simply be careful and watch out all the time.

I'm on my third rental with dollar and thrifty and have always had excellent service. Rented twice in Dubrovnik airport and last time for three weeks in Sarajevo Airport. No problems will continue to use dollar thrifty car rental.

The staff at this location do not do a good job of checking the cars over. We were charged for two broken things inside the car that were broken when we collected it. Extremely frustrating. Make sure to check the car thoroughly, including if the cigarette lighter is missing!

This car rental agency is a rip off. I have paid 800 euros for a Ford Estate (large car) because we are 5 with a suitcase and a backpack each, and they gave us an Opel CrosslandX a very small car. My family is packed in the back and we had to put some suitcases on our laps on our way to the airbnb. The agent said this is the only car he had, and worst he tried to pretend at first that this is what we ordered. I told him this is unacceptable and that we can't do our road trip in these conditions. He said he would call the manager in Split early this morning but we had no news so far! I tried calling the agency myself in Dubrovnik and Split but no one answers. So right now I'm stuck ...

Andro at the Thrifty Car Rental in Dubrovnik was so helpful in arranging to get my carry on back, when I accidently locked it in my car before their office opened. Thank you so much for the great service and taking care of this for me!
