For those who may not know - pil (according to the Latin saw: the pillar), a monumental stone monument on a tall monolithic pillar that rests on a low foot. It was raised on the occasion of an event (fire, flood, plague, etc.) or set up as a landmark, a landmark in the paths of pilgrims and merchants; they tried and punished with them. These monumental imputations originate mostly from the 17th-19th centuries. , have a greater cultural and historical value than art, they are spread largely in the Croatian flatland regions (mostly in Međimurje) (taken from the online edition of the Croatian Encyclopaedia Miroslav Krleža Lexicographic Institute). Of the many peoples in Međimurje, this is a special treat for me because I am a great dog lover and a small puppy with the foot of St. Rocco is extremely sympathetic.
