Since its establishment until today, the Department of Pharmacology has been conducting intensive teaching, scientific and professional activities. Excellence in all segments of the work and interests of the Institute is our fundamental goal. First of all, excellence in conducting all forms of teaching and transferring the latest knowledge in the field of basic and clinical pharmacology, and toxicology to students of various studies. A particular challenge is scientific research activity aimed at investigating the mechanisms of action and effectiveness of a number of drugs, predominantly in the field of neuropharmacology. In this regard, one of the fundamental goals is to develop cooperation with institutions and research groups that promote scientific excellence as well as with the pharmaceutical industry that recognizes the importance of supporting innovative scientific projects. All of the above can be successfully achieved only with the constant rejuvenation of teaching and scientific staff, and motivating young scientists to work and improve at the Department is one of our basic priorities.
