Next to the Gradec castle is the ruin of the church of St. Nicholas, which was built by Nicholas I, Prince of Krk in 1323, and at the top of the neighboring hill, also on the former Frankopan estate, is the church of St. Krševana. Church of St. Nicholas in the 16th century changed its name to the church of St. Spirit.
