Canine inside what used to be the Diocletian's Palace, today the historic center of Split, we find this sculpture in tribute to the one who is considered the father of Croatian-language literature: Marko Marulić. Marulić, who lived between 1450 and 1524, was born and died in Split, was a poet, defender of Christian humanism and one of the most prestigious figures of his time that transcends to this day.
