Sixt rent a car

This is a warning for anyone considering Sixt Car rental in Croatia. If you plan on renting with them, be warned, they will make a several thousand dollar charge on your credit card as an added security deposit, if you do not buy their insurance.

I returned a car at the Umag Sixt office that I had originally rented in Pula. The Sixt agent at this location was both friendly and professional - I wish I could say the same for the young woman that I picked the car up from in Pula. Overall, I had no issues when returning the car.

Own car as described for the price. Namely to have eurocard on behalf of the license is valid more than 3 months for the deposit.

This is the biggest rip-off I've ever experienced. I had 14 days online an Opel Corsa booked for 140 € with 300 € deductible. When I wanted to pick up the vehicle, I should pay a fully comprehensive insurance of an additional 295 €. Other possibility 1200 € Deposit of the Visacard, which I get back with no damage after 1 month! Not with me!!!!! Attention!!!!
