Cemetery church

In addition to the large parking lot outside the old center of Grožnjan, there is a fenced cemetery with the church of St. Nicholas from the 19th Century. On the street side, all the doors are closed so you can access it from the direction of the cemetery. From the outside, the church is clearly divided into three parts. The centerpiece is actually a covered "foyer" on the left and right wings. This "foyer" was painted in 1989 by the painter Ivan Seljak - Čopič (Idrija, 1927 - Grožnjan, 1990). It's worth a look. The cemetery is decorated with an alley of old cypress trees.
