At the very entrance to the picturesque Oprtalj is this beautiful church. Church of St. Roko was built in the 14th century as a single-nave building with a transept, and in the Baroque period a lopica ( porch ) was added to it, which was fundamentally restored in 1913. In the oldest part of the church there are frescoes with scenes of saints painted by Anton of Padua, 1535 years. The best preserved is the figure of St. Leonard, a saint with shackles, which best shows Anton's typical character shaping, anatomical details of a precisely drawn drawing and pasty, opaque layers of paint.

Small church but nice with great frescoes.

The Church of St. Roka from the 14th century is located next to the main road at the southern entrance to Oprtalj. Its interior was painted with murals, but few have been preserved to this day. The church was locked so I could only see it from the outside.
