One of the many churches scattered on the Istrian territory, almost always not open to visitors except with a stroke of luck. This is particular for the sculptural figures used in the portico and embedded in the facade. The white color of the stone is a sign of a recent restoration.

It is an old pilgrimage church called by the people by the unusual name "Svetomore", in fact this name is derived from the ancient Croatian name "Stumoran", meaning "Holy Mary", and the interpretation is added that the Mother of God is mighty - all the sea. The bell tower is a Romanesque from the 12th century preserved in its original form.
