Donji Pustakovac has been home to several pillows and gifts over the centuries. The most significant was certainly the saw of the Holy Trinity and the Queen of the Apostles, located in the corner between the main road, the stream of Sratka and the approach to Kut.
In the list of foundations for the maintenance of crosses and saws (memorial pillars) there is a statement that the statue of the Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary was erected in the saw by Leonard Kontrec in 1913 (pictured).
The saw and statue were often renovated, and the greatest changes were experienced in the 1980s when Vladimir Meglić from Donji Pustakovac, then a student of the School of Applied Arts in Zagreb, made two murals on the left and right walls.
Due to the proximity of the center of the parish in St. George in Trnje, and therefore the commemoration of forgiveness and other church ceremonies, neither a chapel was built nor the existing one expanded.
With the advent of the new century, the thought of the need to build a chapel began to mature. This idea was particularly stimulated by the large investments in the maintenance of sacral buildings in all places of the parish, started by pastor Stjepan Markusic and successfully continued by pastor Darko Kelemenic.
In the fall of 1999, the parish priest Kelemenić came to the head of the parish and, in it, the inhabitants of Donji Pustakovac recognized a close and simple person - a safe and willing associate in the idea of building the chapel. Under the circumstances, the mayor of Donji Kraljevec is Mayor Mladen Čonka from Donji Pustakovac. Circumstances are becoming more and more inclined to the idea - municipal, rural and parish authorities, residents of Donji Pustakovac and the whole parish are declaring to build. Construction is no longer talked about with derision.
The chapel begins to be built with the formation of the Construction Committee, whose members were: Mladen Conka, Stjepan Kramar, Vladimir Ivkovic, Ivan Sinkovic, Branko Vadlja, Franjo Srnec and Rev. Darko Kelemenić.
The biggest problems the generations have feared are the location of the construction and the question of what to do with the old saw.
The foundation stone was laid on August 22, 2003, by the Holy Mass at the sawmill. He was blessed by Rev. Darko Kelemenić.
A part of the walls of the pilings was built under the altar of the chapel, and the central statue of the Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary was restored and is located in the chapel.
This building had a base price of one million and one hundred thousand kunas. Much more was spent. These mosaics and stained glass windows were designed by academic painter Vladimir Meglić and created by Z. Viceban in 2004.
As a special feature nowadays, these are the public lists of all who donated funds for construction in 2004 and 2005, up to a minimum of lime in the municipal gazette and the website of the parish of Sveti Juraj in Trnje.
The first documented phase of construction is in the Gazette of Donji Kraljevec Municipality No. 2 (December 25, 2003), which lists investments from the 2002 budget. The continuation of the detailed description is in the Municipal Gazette no. 3. Pages 6 and 7 are entirely devoted to the opening of the Chapel. With plenty of photos from the opening, there is information about all payments and payments through the giro account of St. George Parish in Trnje. Pastor Darko Kelemenić was responsible for the accuracy of the information, and the editing was done by Glasnik editor Ivan Barić.
The dedication of the Chapel of the Blessed Virgin Mary Queen was performed by Monsignor, the late, first bishop of the Diocese of Varaždin, Marko Culej, on August 22, 2004.
Since then, there has been a series of prayers, masses, gatherings, and local forgiveness in late August is the most significant event in the town during the year.
